Jim is Sr. Sustainable Biomass Scientist in the Hybrid Decarbonization team and brings an operationally integrated perspective to biomass supply, leveraging his varied background in Fiber Quality, Forest Management, and Byproduct Marketing and Sales.
Background & Bio
Before joining Carbon Direct, Jim was the Director of Fiber Development at Elimini. In this capacity, he worked to identify optimal BECCS locations throughout the Southeast. This entailed the optimization of supply, logistics, and fiber quality to maximize system throughput, minimize process variability, and improve life cycle assessment.
Prior to Elimini, Jim's experience included managing sawmill byproduct Marketing and Sales for West Fraser Lumber Company, consulting for American Forest Management, and supporting International Paper in various roles.
