American Express supports a low-carbon future for Card Members

In April 2023, American Express announced several new initiatives to support low carbon communities, including digital solutions for eligible U.S. Consumer and Small Business Card Members. The tools include a carbon emissions tracker, created in partnership with the CoolClimate Network at the University of California Berkeley, that helps Card Members understand their estimated carbon footprint. It also includes access to a portfolio of carbon removal credits, curated in partnership with Carbon Direct scientists, to empower Card Members to take climate action to reduce their carbon impact.
