Alexandra brings together her lived experience, community organizing background and policy experience to inform Carbon Direct’s environmental and climate justice strategy into carbon markets.
Background & Bio
Alexandra has a diverse background spanning law, community organizing, and research in energy policy and international development. Before joining Carbon Direct, Alexandra worked at Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy, largely focused on the political and social impacts renewable energy infrastructure and green markets have on local and indigenous populations in the Global South. Her research also expands on the correlation between climate injustice in the Global South and environmental racism taking place within the Global North.
